TOPIC: Love Is Not Self-Seeking
SCRIPTURE: Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. 1 John 4:7-8.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: One character of love is that love is not self-seeking.
Our anchor Scripture reveals that Love is a nature of God. And since we are made in the Image of God (Genesis 1:26-28), we are expected to love as God loves; we are supposed to love people as we love ourselves.
